Oh, R.L. Stine! You still haven’t lost your amazing storytelling skills! I loved this Goosebumps installment just as much as I loved the previous ones. I’ll probably still be reading (and rereading) ’em even when I’m so old I have bad vision and rheumatism. (Whaaat? Don’t give me that judgy look. It’s Goosebumps!)
Everything in here was meant to send tingles down your spine. The creepy haunted house setting, the main character’s weird neighbors, the exciting cliffhangers at the end of every chapter… it was fantastic! All the enthusiastic talk about zombies was also much appreciated. (Mark my words, people, the zombie apocalypse will happen and it will happen very soon.) I was always a step ahead of the characters but that didn’t lessen the excitement I felt while reading.
A highly recommended read as always!
